If you could take any character you’ve played and put them in the Marvel Universe, which one would you pick and why? x
Challenge accepted. Mission accomplished.

Something is coming…
SIT YOURSELF DOWN BECAUSE IT’S TIME FOR A MOTHERFUCKING STORY…
The tale of how Stucky became my OTP technically began a long, long time ago, in the faraway land of Ottawa, Canada… all the way back, inadvertently, when I was but a young Jedi of six and picked up my first Captain America comic.
Since then, Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes had always been my favourite superhero characters (so much so that I adopted the nickname “Cap” since childhood haha), but they became my OTP after the first Winter Soldier comic was released by Ed Brubaker. I can’t even remember how long ago that came out… 2004? 2005? So maybe eight years isn’t accurate… it was for however many years since that comic came out.
Because you have to remember that throughout my childhood, before TWS comics, Bucky was always younger than Steve and that was a kink I wasn’t into yet haha (the kink being age differences, which I don’t mean pedophilia or anything, but I mean, in TWS comics in their back story where Steve’s like 21 and Bucky’s 16? Yeah, call me fucked up, but there’s a part of me that’s on board with that lmao). Anyways, so growing up, I always considered Bucky to be more like Steve’s little brother, sidekick sort of guy. Plus Bucky was always really “plucky” in the comics, and kind of annoying at times, so even though I adored him, he also pissed me off the other 50% of the time with his corny dialogue xD
So I never even considered them as anything other than best friends; a team.
So fast forward to when I read Ed Brubaker’s The Winter Soldier for the first time. Well, let me start by explaining that Marvel used to have a rule, so to say, with their stories… So many characters get killed, or die by other means, only to get brought back somehow in later issues. But the Golden Rule used to be that the ONLY three characters that can never come back are Uncle Ben, Gwen Stacy, and Bucky Barnes.
So when I see that Bucky’s been brought BACK in the comics? I’m like
But THEN I’m reading it and realize just who exactly the Winter Soldier is. He’s AGAINST Steve? He’s trying to KILL STEVE? He’s a BRAINWASHED ASSASSIN WHO’S TRYING TO KILL STEVE AND DOESN’T REMEMBER HIS BEST FRIEND??
Because it turned out, Brubaker was serious. He’d brought back Bucky Barnes after those who’d followed the comics thought he was gone for good, forever, FINITO - only to make him Cap’s ENEMY. Well played, Brubaker.
(And I imagine Brubaker was just sitting there like)
So not only did he give Bucky this tragic fate but then they ALSO provide a more mature background between him and Steve Rogers and flesh it out - and the style of the comics had also come a long way, so teenage Bucky went from looking like this
(Bucky’s suddenly hot, wtf)
So the more I’m seeing these flashbacks in the story of this big, bulging Steve in his early twenties, meeting this young, scrappy, foul-mouthed teen and them instantly connecting and becoming inseparable, the pervert inside of me starts to go
But as if it wasn’t enough that suddenly I was inexplicably imagining this young adult Steve becoming attracted to this incredibly forward teenager and, in my head, realizing that he had feelings for him, which Bucky would’ve totally instigated by the way (my headcanon for comic!Bucky would’ve been, if he wanted Steve that way, he totally would’ve gone for it and seduced the poor bastard until Steve gave in, because Bucky was EXACTLY like that and had NO problem going for what he wanted, and he didn’t give a shit what anyone else thought about it), it got worse because then Bucky also grew up in their time together before his ‘death’. So suddenly he’s NOT just some teenager who also happens to be Steve’s best friend and partner but now they’re both GROWN MEN and FIVE YEARS ISN’T REALLY THAT BIG OF AN AGE DIFFERENCE
Not when you look like this
(Okay, seriously - you’re BOTH hot? Wtf is going on?)
And they have flashbacks like this
don’t forget every single time Steve’s devotion to Bucky came out in his absolutely REFUSAL to imagine life without him again
despite what anyone else had to say about it
And THEN there’s the blatant fact that Captain America’s enemies KNEW that the easiest way to break him was to hurt Bucky
And suddenly I’m like
My one true pairing, right under my very nose the ENTIRE time. I was just too blind to see it, but now I knew
I had finally seen the light
And they’ve been my favourite pairing ever since <3 (And of course, future comics and then of course the goddamn movies only FURTHER gave me reason to ship this stupid pairing, with these stupid boys and their stupid devotion and stupid love for each other ugh like fuck off you two clearly love the shit out of each other)
3 more seconds of Star Trek: Into Darkness gag reel.
You’re never ‘terrible’ - surely :P
What are the funniest things that fans have said to you on the street when they recognize you? (x)
I know Steve is really talented with his shield and is like an expert with it
but just imagine him smacking it in his face
or tripping over it
or waking up in the middle of the night and he shuffles off to the bathroom only to step…
canada looks really broken
u ok canada
We are slowly trying to distance ourselves from the US…piece by piece.
Canada: “sorry eh”
I fell through the wall this weekend. I am really proud of that! I showed up at the shoot and I’ve got bruises and they’re like, “You look so rugged!” And I’m like, “Yeah, I’m a badass.” Then I had to tell them it was a fake wall.
